Pensive

Mallards are super common in New Zealand. However, I absolutely love spending time looking at them. Both males and females interest me, but the wide range of colours that males can have on their head is truly impressive. Depending on how the sunlight hits their feathers, they can have either a bright green, dark green, rustic brown, light brown, black, light blue, dark blue or purple head. If you've never taken the time to, I would highly recommend you spend some time looking at these magnificent animals.
Wild birds are truly amazing! I love spending time with them and nature always find a way to teach us that not everything is black and white. Sometimes we need to change our views to see a situation in color.
