Malachite in Blue

Gorgeous Malachite Kingfisher keeping an eye out for its lunch. The incredibly colorful birds are reasonably common in Kruger National Park, but because of their size, they are pretty difficult to spot. If you do manage to locate one, it needs to be pretty close, otherwise it is just too small to get a good image of. I love these little Kingfishers and it is always a joy when I find one.
Wild birds are truly amazing! I love spending time with them and nature always find a way to teach us that not everything is black and white. Sometimes we need to change our views to see a situation in color.
